I am considering installing solar panels (to generate electricity) on the roofs of two properties that I own. Such installations qualify for payments under the Feed In Tariff system – FIT). Are the payments of FIT treated as income for tax purposes? Can FIT payments be made directly to the Landlord by the supplier? Would the cost of the installation qualify for Capital Allowance?
