Section 21 – Deposit not protected

Possession notices guidance

Unfortunatley you are unable to issue a section 21 notice on the tenant and it’s likely you might have to pay the tenant compensation (if they owe you rent it might be possible to offset).

There are steps that can be taken to allow you to serve a section 21 but please be aware that this might include returning the deposit to the tenant but it just depends on relevant dates and circumstances.

Before contacting us, please have all details ready (start of tenancy, when deposit received, amount of arrears etc.)

Please contact us or ask a question.
