Process for evicting a ‘tenant’ in a HMO?

26 Oct 2017 | 1 comment

I let a house in multiple occupation (HMO).

An individual has been in the property for several year but is now causing problems and not paying regularly. What notice should I serve to evict him?

What is the process if this notice does not work?

Thank you in advance

Please follow our possession notice wizard which will determine the appropriate notice you need depending on the precise circumstances.

One thing to note, if the individual is on his own tenancy for just a room, the notice must be just in his name addressed to the property including the individual room. If however, the tenant is one of several other joint tenants, the notice must name all the tenants and show the normal property address.
