Where a tenant seeks the landlords consent asking permission to have a pet, the landlord will not always want to give such consent, depending on the circumstances. This template letter is replying to a tenants request for consent and refusing. An optional alternative proposal is provided within the template but this can be deleted by you.
Please remember refusal must be “reasonable” so it may not be possible to refuse a goldfish in a bowl for example.
