direct payment of universal credit

hello i sent the land lord request form to universal credit on 7/7/16, i have had no corespondance, tried to ring them , but said i failed security, even though had tennants dob and ni number how can you get to find whats going on ? and whats best tell number to ring thank you

    I’ve only been able to find this page with contact information.

    All I can suggest is to keep trying and try speaking to management if they will let you.

    You should also email queries to the email provided on the form: universalcredithousing.aparequests@dwp.gsi.gov.uk

    In most cases they won’t discuss the tenants claim with you because it’s the tenants claim not yours. However, they should discuss whether they are paying directly to you or not and if not why.

    I don’t think we’re there yet but a complaint may need to be made. Come back to us if still not heard anything after another 14 days of chasing.

    If they pay the tenant in the meantime, as long as you can prove service of the direct payment form, I’m confident you will nonetheless get paid. We’ve had 100% success with housing benefit but not yet had a UC case gone that far.
