I have a tenant in a flatshare, an accountant who is well off, who has got it in for me. He is trying to find ways to get me. He started before 1st Oct. 2015. He is warning me that I cannot issue a section 21 notice until I answer to him if my mortgage permits me to rent out my flat.
My first thought is that it is none of his business if I have a mortgage or not, as I have to pay it, not him. Then I realised that he is trying to get me. I assume he has read that banks charge a higher interest rate if a flat is rented out, rather than lived in by the mortgage holder. So he is hoping to catch me out and to penalise me. H is obviously hoping that I have an owner-occupier mortgage, so that he can get me.
It is my flat, why should I tell him ?
