North Somerset Council have notified us about a new initiative called Warm Up North Somerset.

The scheme is aimed at landlords and is being run in partnership with Bristol City Council and South Gloucestershire Council.

Landlords who have low energy ratings may get up to 2/3 off the cost of energy saving improvements up to £3,000. The website says:

Under the scheme landlords whose properties have a low energy rating on their Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) are entitled to 2/3rds off the cost, up to a maximum of £3,000, towards energy saving measures. Warm Up North Somerset has secured government funding to deliver the scheme, but funding is limited and applications will be considered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis until the end of March 2015.

Landlords within the North Somerset area should read more about the scheme and can contact them on 0800 048 0727 or via the registration form linked on the website.

It seems there are a number of these becoming available nationwide and to see if you might be entitled to a grant, try the energy grants finder on the gov.uk website.
