I have a prospective tenant would like his 1st rent payment on the 1st November(as he is paid up to 31st October in current appartment),can We sign the tenants agreement now and I take the deposit now, but 1st rent payment be on the 1st November? It’s a for room in a shared house (2 people when full) mom separate AST’s.

That is absolutely fine and how you should do it. It’s why our agreements specifically have an agreement date at the top which can be different to the fixed term dates.
