Can I take on new tenants currently (covid)

16 Oct 2020 | 1 comment

does the recent government ruling about covid and non sharing communal spaces does this effect me being able to take on a new tenant in a houseshare (2 people) on separate AST’s. Am I allowed to take on new tenants here? Richmond, Surrey, London.

  1. guildy

According to the government guidance, moving home is still allowed in the second-tier of “high” (which we believe London is now or will be very soon).

Presumably, they’re not classed as “mixing” when moving in because at that point they now become part of the “household”.
