Question

Energy Performance Certificates (England) | Prescribed Information (England)

EPC

27 Mar 2018 | 1 comment

When I bought my buy to let, the estate agent provided the EPC. That is from 2012. Nothing has changed in the meantime. Can I still give out the same EPC to a tenant? I am paying all the energy bills anyway.

Yes, that EPC is still fine as it lasts for 10 years. Even at the 10-year point, you wouldn’t need a new one instantly. You would need a new one before the next time you market the property after the EPC has expired.
