With regards the court ruling that a GSR is required before letting, what happens where that record has been lost, ie how does one evict the tenant in that instance ?

    You might be able to get a copy from the gas engineer who conducted the check.

    Otherwise, you would have to use one of the grounds for a section 8 notice (such as rent arrears or breach of tenancy).

    It’s proposed that section 21 notices will be abolished in any event so that this case may become irrelevant soon.
