Accreditation Network UK (ANUK) publishes a very useful landlord handbook. The handbook covers every aspect of letting and is a good read for landlords and agents.

The Private Rented Sector Accreditation Scheme, London Rental Standard and Wales Landlord Accreditation Scheme to name but a few, all use the handbook as the fundamental basis for the development course which leads to accreditation.

However, there are a couple of small problems with the current handbook. Firstly, it was last updated in 2012 so a few things have changed slightly since then. Also, it’s a horror to print in-house because the cover is thick with graphics and large solid colour shapes which are also on individual pages. These eat ink like it were Sunday lunch.

Therefore, we decided to undertake the massive task of reproducing the handbook but with the aim that it would be:

  • up to date
  • fewer overall pages
  • less ink used to print
  • mobile friendly
  • an easy format to keep up to date

We are pleased to announce (after a very late / early morning finish last night) that we have now published our first draft version of the landlord handbook *update: we have now published a final version updated August 2014. Although it says draft, it is pretty much complete. I just didn’t want to call it final in case I had some spelling, grammatical or other minor errors which need fixing. If anybody spots anything wrong, please do let me know so I can fix it.

Our accreditation course has been fully updated so it matches the revised handbook.
