New Prescribed Limits Relating to Tenant Fees in Wales

Under the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019, receiving payments in relation to a tenancy are only permitted if specifically included in the Act. In the list of “permitted payments” (found in Schedule 1), payment in the event of default is a permitted payment but regulations may prescribe limits on the amount which can be charged in relation to a default.
