We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our latest product, free to use for Guild subscribers — Applicants. This is an online tenant application form.
This new product is located in the Tenancy Builder and with it, you can generate a unique website link for a prospective tenant to complete their application for your property online rather than using a paper or PDF form.
Adding a new prospective tenant (applicant) is quick and easy! It’s just a case of adding a few basic details about the prospective tenancy and their first name, last name and email.
To send the invitation, you can use our internal email sending or, copy the unique link and paste into whatever you use to communicate (email, text message, what’s app etc.).
The prospective tenant will be able to complete all information you will need such as address history, whether they have pets, other proposed occupiers and much more.
The applicant can also upload identity documents such as passport and payslips, for example.
Once completed, you will receive a notification by email, and you’ll be able to view all the information needed to decide whether to grant the tenancy to them or not.
The viewing of data is a little rudimentary at the moment whilst we focus on stability and functionality.
With a couple of clicks, you can request a tenancy assessment report (credit check) from the applicant data. Moreover, when building a tenancy agreement, you can one click insert the information gathered from the application into the tenant details section (and guarantor if one).
In time, we may add more options, such as one click current/previous landlord referencing from the data.
The application can be tested quickly and easily by creating a test applicant and copying the URL, pasting into your browser and test.
There is comprehensive help added, so you can see all functionality easily.
The functionality has been thoroughly tested, but we have marked it as beta whilst we get feedback from “real life” usage. If you experience any problems, please do get in touch with us.
