Occupier has exclusive possession of 2 bed house and is a client of the council temp accommodation team who then use an agent as middle man, so to speak, to house temp accom people awaiting decisions on if the council will support moving forward etc…
Agent has a guarantee rent agreement with a private landlord whose property it is where the occupier lives
client decision meant that council did g have a duty to suppport and stopped paying the nightly rate
ergo, agent not getting paid.
on the booking form between agent and council it states ‘expected tenancy start date’
now I’m not sure what level of protection the tenant/ occupier has, or if she’s a tenant or not

It sounds to us like the agent (who is in fact the landlord) is a normal landlord with no special exemptions so we believe normal ast between agent and occupier
So the fact it’s temp accomm (which I thought were excluded occupiers in emgergency housing which is on shelters website ) as housing decision went against them, I think that I might be getting confused with this and if it’s actual council accommodation correct and it doesn’t apply to a situation where there is a private landlord
