As reported previously, the government has announced their intention to ban the use of section 21 notices.
This will be achieved by making most tenancies assured by default instead of the current system whereby they are assured shorthold by default.
A local solicitor (local to our office in Harrogate) has contacted us because they are conducting a survey which they plan to include in their response to the government consultation. They have asked if we would offer this survey to our subscribers as the more responses the better.
These proposals are so important that we felt it is vital that landlords have their say and we are appealing to landlords to share their views by completing our short survey. We will collate the responses and submit the findings to the government ahead of the deadline in October.
We would urge you to take part in this important consultation and help us make the views of residential landlords be heard.
The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete and for every completed survey, we will make a donation to our chosen charity of the year, the Harrogate Homeless Project.
It would be very useful if subscribers could find the time to complete the quick survey. This will be very helpful indeed and will provide useful feedback for any response to the government consultation on the abolition of section 21 notices.
You can complete the survey here which must be completed by 8 October 2019.
In addition to the survey, subscribers are urged to respond to the consultation which closes on 12 October 2019.
