A quick note to let you know that we have published an updated version of the Landlord Handbook for England. We are holding off the Wales version until all sub-regulations for the tenant fees ban are published.
This handbook is not just available for subscribers to the Guild inclusive of your subscription but also, subscribers to our weekly digest of articles can download a free copy too.
In addition to the PDF handbook having been updated, we’ve also updated the content of the PRS Accreditation course content to match.
Furthermore, we’ve also updated the electronic version of the handbook on our website where you can go view individual chapters and topics freely. This is easily one of the best places to start on our website to find answers to your questions. Every main topic for the private rented sector is covered and with the website version of the handbook, there are additional links under each category to find even more detail than what’s ordinarily found in the handbook.
The main updates to the landlord handbook include:
- Tenant Fees Act 2019
- EPC minimum standards cost cap of £3,500, and
- Fit for human habitation test
There are also a number of small changes to various parts of the text.
