We are pleased to announce that we will hold a meet-up in Wales on 18 October 2022, primarily about preparing for conversion to the new occupation contracts.
The event will be in-person – our first in Wales since the pandemic.
There is no cost to attend, and it’s open to subscribers and non-subscribers (but see later).
We will discuss:
- Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016
- Preparing for conversion
- Generating the new written statement of occupation contract
- Difference between fixed term and periodic
- Overview of possession
- Essentials needed before 1 December 2022
You must register your interest in attending by following the link below. You are not compelled to attend, but this will give us an idea of the numbers to plan the event appropriately.
If you’re a subscriber, please log in, and if not, you’ll be asked to register with our website so we can email details.
After registration, subscribers will receive the venue details and start time in the email confirmation. Non-subscribers will receive venue details and the time in early October, subject to the numbers available.
Registration is on a first-come basis.
You do not have to be a subscriber to attend, but if numbers are high, subscribers will be given priority subject to the room size available.
Update on occupation contracts and other forms
We can confirm that our written statement of occupation contract is ready to go live. It’s too soon to use them, but we plan to launch them later in September or early October. They will be available from the Tenancy Builder.
In addition, the prescribed forms will be added to the Tenancy Builder site, including the landlord’s address, possession, rent increase and others.
