Members may use our local rate telephone help-line anytime (during office hours) for any landlord and tenant legal question. Our dedicated legal help-line is one of the key benefits of the Guild. Buildings Insurance
This is the most popular service taken up by members. We offer discounted buildings insurance especially designed for rented property. Our aim is to try and ensure members save at least the cost of annual membership which is normally done.
Accreditation
The Guild also runs the National Landlord Accreditation Scheme (NLAS). Members of the Guild may become accredited which is subject to completion of an on-line development course. The cost of accreditation is £10.00.
Advertise rental property
The Internet is a growing arena for advertising your property for rent. The Guild has negotiated a great discounted rate with Upad.co.uk where your property is placed on over 500 property portals including the main ones such as Rightmove, Primelocation, Find a Property, Gumtree etc.

This website has literally hundreds if not thousands of articles and guidance relating to landlord and tenant law. As much as possible has been put together into simple to follow series or guidance notes for ease of reading.

Members may download or order by telephone for posting a whole array of legal documents free of charge. We believe we provide the most comprehensive list of legal documents of any landlords association in the UK.
Tenant Vetting Service
It’s very important in particular nowadays to check a tenants credit history. The tenant vetting service checks for County Court judgments, Bankruptcy amongst other things.
Energy Performance Certificates
Since October 2008, it is a legal requirement for landlords to provide “prospective” tenants with an EPC. The Guild offers members a discounted rate to provide an EPC.
Debt Collection
Subscribers of the Guild are entitled to discounted rates for our debt collection service.
Buy to Let Mortgages
Members have access to our dedicated independent financial advisor who can assist with buy to let mortgages.
Training
Working with Training for Professionals, the Guild can provide public and bespoke training for landlord and letting agents.
Solicitor
The Guild can help with most things from seeking possession, section 21 notices, section 8 notices, tenancy agreements etc. However there are occasions when you may need a solicitor for example house purchase, freeholder issues etc.
Magazine
The Guild provides members with a free quarterly magazine containing in-depth articles mostly concerning recent legal case-law.
