dear Guildy,

im considering selling my HMO terraced house in London, im just enquiring if Landslords are experiencing difficulties in selling up whilst having to issue 6 months notice to tenants. I have 3 tenants in periodic and would like feedback whether one can sell up succesfully with these requirements are landlords experiencing any issues in selling up and having to give 6 months notice?
thank you for your help.

We don’t know about specific regions but generally, what we hear is if the property is an investment type (which yours sounds it might be), prospective purchasers would generally prefer the tenants to remain at purchase rather than being empty.

However, your local agent will likely know the particular market in the particular area best.

Thank you, Guildy. I have talked to an agent and yes your right mine is a potential investment property where tenants could stay in place is one possibility.
