My tenants requested to install an electric shower at my property and I agreed to pay half of the cost. The shower has now got a fault, who is responsible for paying the repair costs?

Presumably, you never intended that they take it with them when they leave in which case it’s part of the property now (we think because of how a shower is fixed, such an item would always become part of the property regardless).

As such, we believe it would fall under the landlord repairing obligations.

However, if you can show that it’s faulty due to how it’s been installed, you may be able to contact the installer under some warranty or similar.
