EPC – Existing tenancies prior to October 2008

Hi If we have an existing tenant that has lived in the property prior to EPC becoming law in 2008 is an EPC required?  As I understood that it was all new tenancies from 01.10.2008.  Can you clarify please as we have some Rent Act tenancies in place.

You’re right, it only applies to tenancies since 2008 (we forget the exact month but doesn’t appear to be relevant for this question).
