Question

Gas Safety (England)

Gas Hobs

23 Nov 2017 | 1 comment

Hi, Ive just had some Gas Safety Inspections on terraced properties, the engineer has issued advice warning certificate together with the gas safety certificate. His reason being that without the Flame safety Device they no longer comply with current standards. Last year no warning documents were issued and its the same chap doing them. Any advice or info appreciated please.

We’ve not heard anything specific but we know that the guidance issued to engineers is always changing.

The record is simply to state whether the appliance is safe to use and just because something doesn’t comply to current regulations doesn’t automatically make it unsafe.
