HMO – Tenant changing rooms

Can an individual’s AST be altered by date and room and countersigned if a tenant changes rooms in an HMO or does a new AST have to be issued which then protects the tenant for a furthert 6 months?

    This is a whole new tenancy from scratch I’m afraid.

    From a legal perspective, it makes no difference if the new dwelling is 10 meters or 10 miles away.
