Rent arrears from 2012

If their rent arrears from 2012 can this be used on a section 8 notice and four court proceedings

    Being over six years, it’s a question we’re not aware has ever been answered by the courts.

    But, ground 8 (the mandatory ground) requires (a) two months of arrears on the day of service of section 8 and (b) two months of arrears on the day of the hearing. Assuming those two things are present, we think it should succeed irrespective of the dates when the arrears started.
