The Licensing and Management of Houses in Multiple Occupation and Other Houses (Miscellaneous Provisions)(Amendment)(England) Regulations 2012 comes into force on 10 September 2012 and applies to England only.
The regulations make a minor amendment to the Licensing and Management of Houses in Multiple Occupation and Other Houses (Miscellaneous Provisions) (England) Regulations 2006 in that the renewal process for an HMO licence is slightly simplified.
From 10 September, a declaration can be made on an application form to the effect that certain prescribed information contained in licensing applications has not materially changed since the first application (normally made five years previously).
