Landlords have many problems in dealing with blocked drains. It is normally the landlords duty under section 11 Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 to repair and maintain drains or sewers. However, the question then arises, at what point must a landlord repair or maintain if the drain or sewer goes under neighbours land?
